#Diwali2020 Basically people prepare this puran halwa with chana dal I tried it with dal masoor & believe me it turned out fantastic it goes well with normal hot chapati homemade or puris which I prepared with stuffing of this halwa..! Please scroll down for the recipe below:-

Ingredient

Food ration :

8-10 servings

Cooking time :

30 minutes
500 grams

Dal masoor

1/2 cup

Pure ghee

2 cups

Sugar

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soaked dal Masoor for about 1 hour in warm water now boil it well until it’s tender while it’s on room temperature using a hand mixer make it to a fine paste

Take a wok add in ghee while it’s warm pop in the dal Masoor paste keep stirring now add in raisins

Besides dry roast the cardamoms,nutmeg & maze blend it to a powder then pop it in the halwa

Further add orange red food color mix it well keep stirring making sure it doesn’t stick to the bottom lastly add sugar cook till the sugar melts the ghee separates & it’s done off the flame burner
