Rice cooker Chap Chye

Super easy braised cabbage and carrot dish made in the rice cooker. The blackstrap molassses and sesame oil really helps to deepen the flavours. Taste even better the next day!

Ingredient

shoyu

mirin

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soaked dried black fungus, seaweed and mushrooms overnight.

* Step 2

Mix all seasoning ingredients in a small bowl

* Step 3

Place chopped carrots, black fungus, cabbage and mushrooms (in this order) in the rice cooker. Pour seasoning over it. Cook on brown rice mode for 1.5 hours. Halfway through cooking, open the rice cooker and stir-through.
