Easy Simmered Potatoes
My busy mother used to whip this up when I was younger.
I adjusted the seasoning to my own taste.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Cut the potato and the carrot into thick strips.
* Step 2
Cook Step 1 in sesame oil. Add the water, dashi granules, and seasoning ingredients. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.
* Step 3
You can eat this right away, but if you wait about 30 minutes and reheat it right before eating, the seasoning will settle into the potatoes even more.
