Grape Spoon Dessert

This is such an old fashion/traditional Greek Dessert, when I was little I would always laugh when they handed me this dessert. (Oh!! I wasn’t alone on this journey I had my side kick my cousin. hahahahaha really cool human being. Love her!!!) So, where was I, oh yes, my mother would always give me that greek one eye slanted face, that usually meant stop it!!! because I was being rude. But my side kick would continue to laugh after I would get that face!! she wasn’t much help. My brother on the other hand who is younger, would always take this little dessert and eat it even though he didn’t like it, just so he would not get that greek slanted eye face. hahahahhaha

* Step 2

Pour into your grapes the sugar, vanilla extract and just enough water that covers the grapes and stir regularly. Let this boil on medium heat for 20 minutes, and until your grapes start to schrivel up. When it is done boiling add in the lemon juice and stir, the syrup is ready when you pour two or three drops of syrup onto the tip of your knife and it rolls off slowly. 🙂

* Step 3

This dessert is made with basically any kind of fruit, butttt!!! oh yesss there is a buttt it is also made with vegetables. I was once offered a mini eggplant spoon dessert, a few years back, I took one look at it and said umm NO!!! Before I forget, this needs to cool off completely before consuming!!!
