First attempt to make these not so pretty, but tasted great! Very good with spice tea or coffee!

* Step 1

This is a type of Hungarian doughnut

* Step 2

Found in recipe booklet from the Milk Industry Foundation, Washington, DC

* Step 3

beat egg yolks and sour cream together until well blended

* Step 4

add all or enough flour to form a soft dough

* Step 5

knead until smooth

* Step 6

roll out very thin

* Step 7

cut into diamond shapes

* Step 8

cut slit in center of each diamond

* Step 9

pull one end thru each slit

* Step 10

fry in oil until light brown

* Step 11

drain, then dust with powdered sugar

* Step 12

enjoy
