Javanese Salad with Shredded Coconut Dressing (Urap)

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut up carrots, snake bean, and water spinach, (or other vegetables you have), wash them and steam them until well cooked, put aside.

* Step 2

Grind red onion, garlics, all chilies.

* Step 3

Pre-heat sauce pan with cooking oil, pour all the ground inggredient, stir for 5 mins, add salt, sugar, and kaffir lime leave, stir for 3 mins, add 1/2 cup of water, wait until the water boils, add dry shredded coconut, cook until the water reduces, put aside.

* Step 4

Pre-heat steamer, steam the shredded coconut dressig for 15 mins.

* Step 5

Place vegetables in a platter, mix them with the coconut dressing.

* Step 6

Enjoy it with barbeque chicken, beef, or fish.
