Baked acorn squash

Ingredient

2 tablespoons

butter softened

2 tablespoon

brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon

cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon

nutmeg

2 tablespoons

maple syrup

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Pre heat oven to 400 degrees and Cut acorn squash in half and scoop insides out. I save the seeds and roast them

* Step 2

Spread butter on the inside of each half

* Step 3

In a small bowl combine brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, small pinch of salt and pepper if using and Sprinkle over squash and drizzle on maple syrup.

* Step 4

Place squash, cut side up, on a large baking sheet and roast until fork tender, 55 to 60 minutes.

* Step 5

For roasting seeds Rinse and clean the seeds and pat dry. I mix up a little garlic powder, Salt, pepper, paprika and olive oil /Or I mix up cinnamon, sugar and melted butter and Bake at 350 for about 15 to 20 minutes mixing up once or twice while cooking.
