Basically a 5 ingredient magic, this stunning Burfi or Fudge is one healthy recipe. Though this can be made with dried Figs too, fresh one's are one up in terms of taste and texture.
Not only it gets done so easily, it also is absolutely delicious and a delightful treat to your families and friends. It can be stored in the refrigerator and relished for a long time. Add Nuts of your choice. Sugar or Jaggery both can be added apart from the Condensed Milk.
A super hit at parties and get togethers or important close knit family gatherings, this is one such amazing idea. Kids would love to have these on any given day. Use ripened Figs for this lip-smacking Burfi or even Halwa as they would be sweeter and not tangy. Plus it would also enhance the overall look of the dish.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and chop all the fresh figs at first. Heat a non stick pan with a tablespoon of ghee. Add the chopped figs. Cook on a low heat until soft and mushy. And then after it cools down, blend into a smooth paste or puree.
* Step 2
Set it aside. Or the figs can be at first blended to a smooth puree and then added to the pan just as I did. This way it's much better. To this pureed figs, add cardamom powder and sugar after roasting for 7-8 minutes.
* Step 3
Now cook on a low to medium high heat by stirring continuously and with lots of care as it bubbles furiously. Do it with a lot of care.
* Step 4
As the sugar melts, the mix starts looking glossy and shiny. It leaves the sides of the pan in no time at all. After cooking for a total of 25-30 minutes, it's ready to be added to a greased plate or a dish lined with butter paper. Sprinkle lots of chopped almonds.
* Step 5
Refrigerate until ready to serve. Slice it according to one's own wish. Enjoy! Yum!
