Strawberry Shortcake

#Win #Week6 #cookpadindia An amazingly delish Cake recipe that is loved by many across the Globe. Basically it's a Sweet Biscuit or a Cake layered with juicy Strawberries and Cream Cheese icing. But it can be made with just 3 ingredients also. Vanilla Sponge Cake + Strawberries +Whipped Cream. Just as I did. Simple and easy. Everyone can make that. No hassle no mess. Making it from the scratch is very difficult and time consuming. If you really want to dig into something sweet and creamy, indulge in this marvellous Dessert that will sweep you off your feet. Easy Shortcake in just a few minutes. You can use a store bought cake too or any Biscuits large one's of your choice. Try it this way for a lovely Dessert this Season and enjoy with your loved ones. The Sponge used in this awesome Cake is freshly baked at home. And with the Strawberries flooded in the markets in Winters, it's a perfect choice for a spectacular Dessert.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180° at 45 minutes. By the time the batter is ready, it will get preheated for about a good ten minutes which is very much important. And then bake your cake for the rest of the time easily. Lightly butter and flour a 8"pan. Using a hand held mixer, beat butter or oil, sugar and vanilla essence.

* Step 2

Fold in the wet mix along with milk at each addition taking care not to overmix. In this wet mix, that is fluffy, creamy and frothy, fold in the dry ingredients slowly in parts. Do not add all at once. Do it slowly and steadily. Also remember to sieve all the dry ingredients once or twice. Using a spatula, follow the cut and fold method.

* Step 3

Pour this batter into the greased baking pan and bake for 40-45 minutes. Cool it on a wire rack for a few minutes before slicing it.

* Step 4

Slice the cake in halves to make two smaller cakes. Spread a generous amount of whipped cream at first. Next arrange the strawberries evenly over each cut sides of the cake halves. They can be either thinly sliced or fanned. Place the cakes in the freezer just for 5 minutes.

Remove the cake halves. Use a little less than one third of the whipped cream and to spread on top of the strawberries in the bottom layer. Add half of the remaining cream on the top, spreading evenly. Leave it plain or garnish with strawberry halves.
