Homemade Red Chilli Flakes
#cookpadindia
Homemade and pure Chilli Flakes are perfect for use. They are done very easily too without much hassles. Actually it's always better to have on hand fresh and homemade spices or spice blends. That's more economical as well a lot more hygienic. I always do this every 4-5 Months as required. The best part is that it stays good for a long period of time.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Roast these Dry Red Chillies on a low heat for that perfect crunch. It's an important step. They should snap when you break them and not bend. If it snaps, it means they are perfectly roasted. By roasting, we are making sure to make it devoid of the moisture which if present will make them soggy and not crisp. This can be done in an oven too.
* Step 2
Remove all the stems before you proceed with the grinding. Or better still if you use stemless Dry Red Chillies.
* Step 3
Grind into a coarse powder using the Pulse option on the Mixer Grinder. However it's okay even if you prefer a not so coarse powder too. Grind it just for less than half a minute. That texture we get in half a minute is perfect.
* Step 4
Store in airtight containers once cooled and it stays fresh upto almost Six Months. Use it as required.
