Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First of all, soak Rice and the Lentils after washing thoroughly for at least 20 minutes. Now in a non-stick pot, heat Ghee or Oil or a combination of both and add the Ginger garlic paste and the sliced Onion to it. Saute it for a few minutes until the raw smell fades away on a low heat. Now add the chopped Tomatoes too.
* Step 2
Add the whole Garam Masalas one by one. Also add the Garam masala, Red Chilli and the Turmeric powders along with Green Chillies and Coriander Leaves. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes. Don't forget to add Soya chunks as well. After about 5 minutes of sauteeing, add the soaked Rice and the Lentils.
* Step 3
Saute for a minute and then add about 4 cups of water along with Salt. For the first 10 minutes, let it cook on a high flame stirring in between, to mix everything well. After 10 minutes, lower the flame and cover. In between just keep mixing it gently. That's it. It gets done pretty quickly. Yum!
