Herbed Savoury Doughnuts

An innovative touch to the normal Savoury Buns by me. In these particular one's, I have firstly given them the look of a doughnut and secondly I have made use of lots of different dried Herbs that are easily available over the counters.
You can use your favourite Herbs for these scrumptious Savoury Buns or Doughnuts.
That's it. Nothing much complicated at all. The dough is very much similar to the one we use for a Doughnut or a Pizza Bun. Both work perfectly well for them.

* Step 1
For the dough, you need to first soak the Yeast in lukewarm Milk along with Sugar and let it activate. Add this frothy mix to the Flour, Milk powder and Salt mix. Throw in some Olive oil and all the Herbs that you want to add to it and make a smooth dough out of it.
* Step 2
Cover it and let it rest for almost 2 hours in a warm place in your kitchen. If it's cold in your place, plug in your oven and preheat for almost 5 minutes and switch it off, then keep this in the oven.
* Step 3
After 2 hours, punch the dough so that all the excess air is let out. Divide it into 16 balls. Arrange them on the greased baking tray and cover nicely and let it rest again for the second proofing for at least 30 to 40 minutes. Give these an Egg wash or a Milk wash and sprinkle some more of the Herbs. This step is important. You should never skip it.
* Step 4
After 40 minutes of second proofing, bake them in a preheated fan-assisted oven at 180° for 15 to 18 minutes. After done, brush some melted Butter on top. Serve these scrumptious Savoury Doughnuts as an appetizer at a party or a weekend dinner at home with family and a few close-knit friends.
