35-40 minutes
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Grind dal with all the masalas except the coriander leaves, spring onions and the rice flour. (Keep some soaked about 2 tablespoons aside.)
* Step 2
Later on mix the other ingredients along with the soaked whole dal. After mixing well, keep the dal batter aside to let the flavours infuse well.
* Step 3
Shape them into small Vadas and flatten them a little with your hands. Deep fry them in hot oil on a low to medium flame. (Care should be taken for the first 2 minutes and the Vadas should be left undisturbed.)
* Step 4
After a minute or two, slowly turn them to the other side. Serve them hot with Green Chutney or any dipping sauce of your choice.
