Homestyle Aloo Parathas

#cookpadindia The ever famous Breakfast dish of India and Pakistan. These are yummy and filled with mouthwatering Potato mix and tastes better when served sizzling hot with a big dollop of Butter. It's an excellent option for meals. Not only Breakfast, these can be relished for Lunch or Dinner too. That's it. As simple as that. Nothing much fancy needed for this recipe. The beauty of this dish is that they are healthy and wholesome with Potatoes and some spices. And it's very simple and easy to make as well.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Prepare the dough with the ingredients listed under it. Leave it aside for 20 mins at least.

* Step 2

Add crushed Cumin Seeds, Asafoetida and the shredded Ginger to a bowl with mashed Potatoes. Also add the chopped Onions, Green Chillies, Red Chilli powder, Salt,Coriander Leaves and the dry Mango powder. Mix well and it's all ready to use.

* Step 3

Start rolling the rotis and place about 2 tablespoons of the Potato mix in the center and cover it up well from all the sides by pinching it after gathering it in the center.

* Step 4

Parathas can also be made in another way. In this, two round discs are rolled and then place the Potato filling on one of them and cover it up with an another one. Seal the edges properly and now roll into the desired size. Roast them using Ghee or Oil generously for the most delicious lip smacking Parathas. Serve them hot with Butter, Pickle and some Raita.
