Peanut and Split Bengal Gram Chikki
#GA4
#week12
Exceptionally good and made with ease, these are a treat to the tastebuds. Both Peanuts and Putana Dal are used by me in these beautiful looking Chikki. These nutritious guilt free Chikki are made in the comfort of our own home absolutely clean and preservative free. Simple ingredients and good quality of Jaggery is all that one requires for this. The choice is all yours. You can add both or just Peanuts. A 3 ingredient perfect magic by me. Extremely delicious and a very good option for a healthy Brunch or a Snack idea.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
First of all, roast both of the dry ingredients on a low heat until raw smell disappears. Rub the skin off from the Peanuts after it cools down a bit. Keep aside until use.
* Step 2
Melt Jaggery with little water on a low heat. Do it until it thickens and changes colour. After about 7-8 minutes, check by dropping a few drops of it in water. If it forms a ball, it's done. Otherwise cook a bit more.
* Step 3
Add roasted Peanuts and Split Bengal Gram to it. Mix well and spread it on a greased plate. With the help of a rolling pin, spread it evenly while it's still hot. Also cut into required shapes while it's warm. It becomes difficult to cut once it solidifies on cooling.
* Step 4
Store them in airtight containers after thoroughly cooled. Relish these yummy goodies for about a month or more. Enjoy!
