Dates and Tamarind Chutney

A sweet and sour Chutney that actually spruces up almost all the Chaats in our country. It is a must have one that adds an extra zing to different Chaats and Snacks. The best part is that it can be stored in the refrigerator and used for a long time for upto 2 months or more. It can be made both with Jaggery and Sugar. The process remains the same for both.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Add tamarind and dates to a pan along with water. Also add the rest of the ingredients except sugar. Simmer on medium high heat. After the mix softens in about 10 minutes, add sugar and mix well. Let it cool down a bit.
* Step 2
Blend into a smooth semi solid paste and store in an airtight container. Use it according to taste and preference. Make it thin by adding little water whenever you need a thinner consistency chutney.
