Boondi and Motichoor Laddoos

#week5of5 #cookpadindia An amazingly delish desi Dessert that will just melts in your mouth. I have made both Boondi as well as Motichoor Laddus. This was my first try and it was pretty much a mission accomplished for me by all means. Everyone liked it so much. And they just vanished in no time. Trying it at home is absolutely easy if a few important things are taken care of as mentioned. That's it. What more can be said about this wonderful Dessert than making it for a family Dinner and treating your loved ones to this amazing and beautiful looking little Roundels.

Ingredient

Food ration :

10-12 servings

1 cup

Water

3/4 cup

Sugar

1/8 tsp

Food colour

3 tbsp

Mixed Nuts

1/4 cup

Raisins

2 tbsp

Melon Seeds

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Prepare the semi thick batter with gram flour and water. Make boondis as shown in the pictures by pouring some batter through the sieve into the hot oil. You need to ensure that the oil is very hot while pouring the batter.

* Step 2

Remove the boondis in a minute or two. (Do not overfry or make them crispier by frying for a longer time)

Take a pan, add sugar along with water and food colour. It should be a one string consistency sugar syrup. After frying, add the chopped nuts and raisins of your choice and pour the hot syrup over it. Once the boondis are cooled and slightly warm, you can start shaping them into laddus.

* Step 4

Add melon seeds too for that awesome taste. For the motichoor laddus, just give it a pulse once or twice in your blender jar until it looks crumbled up. Make laddus the same way for this too. Shape them according to your preferable size.
