Prawn 🍤 Mushroom🍄 Ghee Roast

#WDC #starter I have always been a prawn lover since my childhood days and so loved any type of prawn preparations. My marriage was not arranged and so I visited my in-laws even before my marriage. There was a big curry leaves plant in the garden which was very favorite of my mother-in-law. On one of my visits before marriage, she cooked ghee prawns with curry leaves and it was so tasty. She left us in 2018 and the plant also dried up without her love and nurture. So I prepared this menu and added mushrooms as they are very favorite of my husband and dedicate this recipe to my mother-in-law on this Women's Day. She is physically far away from us but her blessings are with us always.

Ingredient

800 gms

1/2 inch

ginger

3 tbsp

ghee

1 tsp

salt

2 tbsp

yoghurt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Marinate the prawns with salt and deep fry in oil. Dry roast red chilies and allow them to cool. Then make a paste of the roasted chilies, garlic, ginger, tomatoes, bhaja masala(recipe in the link below)

* Step 2

Now saute the mushrooms in the same oil and keep aside.

Add 3 tbsp ghee in a fresh Kadai, add chopped onions and fry till light brown. Add the paste and now cook till oil starts releasing on the sides. Add salt to taste, turmeric powder, and Kashmiri red chili powder.

Add 1/4 cup water once the masala curry gets cooked. Add yogurt at this stage and stir continuously.

Now its time to add the fried prawns and some fresh curry leaves and green chilies. Simmer the prawns till they get cooked in the gravy and keep stirring nicely till the gravy is dry. Serve as starters for your guests at home.
