Honey Chilli Potato

Flavored with honey chilli sauce which elevates the taste and the sweetness and then the fried potatoes are tossed in the rich thick sauce. Sure shot hit at your parties.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cut the potatoes into wedges similar to french fry. Coat with 2 tbsp maida and rice flour and mix uniformly.

Now take a bowl and add 1/4 cup maida, 1/4 cup rice flour, 1 tsp salt and dry mix. Then add water to make a thick batter.

Warm oil in a pan enough to deep fry the potatoes. Coat the potato mixture with the batter and fry batch by batch so that each gets cooked. Take out and place on a plate.

Now to 1 tbsp oil in kadai, add garlic cloves, onions, 5 tbsp white sesame seeds, green capsicum and the honey chilli sauce (I used readymade sauce here as it is always there in my pantry to save time). Once the sauce thickens (you can add cornflour slurry if you want slight thicker sauce) switch off the flame.

* Step 5

Now heat the same oil used for frying the potatoes and again fry the first fried potatoes the second time till slight brown. This gives a very nice crunchy crispy taste.

Add the fried potatoes in the sauce and give a nice stir and serve. Just sprinkle some sesame seeds and chopped spring onions before serving.
