Vrat wali aloo Sabzi (Simple Potato curry without garlic or onion) is simple and delicious and is ready is minutes. This curry is consumed when observing fast and restricts from consuming garlic or onion. This “Falahari” sabzi goes well samak rice.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Peel, Wash and chop potatoes.
* Step 2
Wash and grate tomatoes and ginger. Chop green chilli.
* Step 3
Heat cooking oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely grated tomato and ginger and saute till oil leaves the sides. Add chopped green chilli and mix.
* Step 4
Add and mix salt, black pepper powder and turmeric powder. Add curd and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
* Step 5
Add chopped potatoes and mix well and saute for 2 - 3 minutes till it mixes well with masale.
* Step 6
Add water and place the lid and cook for 2 minutes after first whistle. Switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically.
* Step 7
Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves with samak rice or Kuttu ki puri.
