Onion rice is made with caramelize onions and is easily adaptable to our taste buds. Flavors of this Easy rice recipe vary depending on the oil and spices.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and Soak rice in water for 10 minutes.
* Step 2
Peel, Wash and chop onions.
* Step 3
Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put bay leaf and add 1 bay leaf, 4 cloves, 4-6 black pepper seeds, 1 cinnamon stick and saute for 1 minute. Add chopped onion and cook till golden pinkish.
* Step 4
Add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix. Add soaked rice and saute for 1 minute.
* Step 5
Add water and place the lid and cook till 2 whistles and switch off the flame and let pressure releases automatically. Open the lid.
* Step 6
Serve hot with dal or curry garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
