Shalgam Bhaji

Turnips are loaded with fiber and vitamins Ke, A, C, E, B1, B3, B5, B6, B2 and folate (one of the B vitamins), as well as minerals. This is very useful for lowering uric acid.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash peel and chop shalgam. Wash and grate tomatoes.

Heat oil in a wok. Add cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put grated tomatoes and saute for 2-3 minutes or till oil leaves the sides.

Now add salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix. Add chopped shalgam and saute for 2-3 minutes. Add 1 tb spoon water. Place the lid and cook till first whistle. Let pressure releases automatically.

Open the lid and add garam masala, sugar and coriander leaves and mix. Saute for 1 minute.

Serve hot with sauce or parantha.
