Ribbon pakoda is a crunchy South Indian festive snack made using rice flour, gram flour and spices. It is also known as ribbon murukku and most commonly made during Diwali and other festivals.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Mix gram flour and rice flour in a mixing bowl. Add salt, red chilli powder, asafoetida, butter and garlic paste and mix well by mashing thoroughly with your hands.
* Step 2
Now add water slowly and make a dough slightly thicker than dosa batter.
* Step 3
Now dough is ready to make ribbon pakoda. Fill the dough in murukku maker and use the ribbon pakoda attachment.
* Step 4
Heat oil in a wok to deep fry ribbon pakoda. Press the murukku maker directly into hot oil and fry it. Fry from both sides till golden brown. Transfer it in a plate.
* Step 5
Serve with tea as snack. It can be stored for 15 days in airtight container.
