Pulao recipes are very common across india and are made with different ingredients and flavours. They are generally made for occasions or as a lunch box recipes as they are generally one pot meal. Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and Soak rice for 30 minutes. Strain and put in a pressure cooker. Add water, salt and turmeric powder and place the lid and cook till 1 whistle. Switch off the flame and keep aside to release the pressure.
* Step 2
Cut paneer in small cubes.
* Step 3
Heat cooking oil in a karahi and deep fry paneer cubes and when paneer turns golden transfer it in a plate.
* Step 4
Now fry almonds, cashewnuts and pumpkin seeds and transfer in plate.
* Step 5
Now add cumin seeds in remaining oil. When cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions, ginger and green chilli. Sauté till onion turn golden Add chopped capsicum
* Step 6
Add all dry masala and mix well. Add paneer and tomatoes and cook till oil leaves the karahi.
* Step 7
Add, cloves, cinnamom, cardamoms, bay and saute. Add boiled rice and mix. Saute for 2 minutes. Switch off the flame.
* Step 8
Serve hot with salad or curd or pickle.
