Ingredient

Food ration :

2 servings
3/4 bowl

Gram flour

1/4 bowl

semolina

2 & 1/2 bowl

water

1/2 bowl

peas

2 " piece

grated ginger

5 pods

garlic

1/2

lemon

to taste

Salt

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

1/2 tsp

herbs

1 tbsp

cooking oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Mix gram flour and semolina in one bowl of water. Beat well. Now add the remaining 1 and a half bowl water in it and stir for two minutes.

Grind peas, garlic, ginger and green chilli coarsely in a mixer.

Wash and Chop carrot capsicum, coriander leaves and onion.

Now put ground peas paste and chopped vegetables in gram flour mixture. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin seeds and herbs and mix well.

Heat 1 tsp oil in a karahi add asafoetida. Sauté for 30 seconds. Now add this mixture in it. Continue stirring till the mixture becomes thick. Squeeze half lemon in it and stir.

Now grease a thali and pour the hot mixture in it and spread it evenly with the help of spatula. Keep aside for half an hour or till it cools.

Now keep a plate over it and flip the side. Pat on the back side of thali. This tikka will come on the plate.

Cut it's square pieces.

Remove it in a bowl.

Heat 1 tbsp oil on a griddle and put mustard seeds and asafetida. Sauté for 30 seconds. Now put tikka pieces and shallow fry. Flipside and fry other side too.

Serve hot with sauce and green chutney.
