Roasted Chestnuts
Autumn provides us with many wonderful things. So after a day chestnut hunting in the mountains, what better way to warm up #myfavouriterecipe #mycookbook #chestnuts
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak chestnuts in water for at least 2 hours. Fire up the BBQ. Make a slit on flat side of chestnut from top to bottom
* Step 2
Make holes in an aluminum tray (I also created a device using a cloak hanger to help shake it, use tongs instead) put chestnuts in tray and start roasting. Roast for about 35-40 mins, spray with water and sprinkle with salt and shake every 5-10 mins. The salt helps to make the skin peel easily
* Step 3
Enjoy your roasted chestnuts 😀
