Chinese Lemon Chicken

Chinese Lemon Chicken

Very Lemony, with no refined sugar!

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Gently fry Chicken and Spring Onions in Oil

* Step 2

Add Garlic, Stock, Lemon Zest, Lemon Juice, Soy Sauce, Vinegar & Maple Syrup (or sweetener of choice)

* Step 3

Simmer on low heat for 5-10 mins.

* Step 4

Mix together Cold Water and Cornflour, then add to simmering pan. Stir and remove from heat when thickened.

Add Pepper to taste.

* Step 6

Stir in a knob of butter to add shine.

* Step 7

Serve with Rice or Noodles of choice (I always opt for Brown Rice varieties)

For future recipes,you can adjust lemon, soy, syrup, pepper etc. according to your own taste!

* Step 9

I don't eat sugar if I can help it but if eating sugar doesn't bother you, you can replace the Maple Syrup with around 200g sugar
