Dhoka is a very integral vegetarian delicacy from Bengal where Chana Dal is used but Motorsuti or Peas being a wintry regular Dhoka from Motorsuti is the ultimate during this time.
Ingredient

3-4 servings
Cooking time :
Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-25 mins
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a blender add the peas and blend to a paste
* Step 2
In a wok heat ghee and add red chilli powder, 1 Tbsp ginger paste and add the Motorsuti paste. Mix well and cook on medium flame for 5-6 mins until the peas comes off the surface, set aside to cool
* Step 3
Add the paste to a greased plate and flatten with a back of spatula
* Step 5
In the same wok heat 2-3 Tbsp ghee and add the squares and fry lightly, set aside
* Step 6
In the same wok heat rest of the ghee, add cumin seeds, bay leaf and add the potatoes, stir once, add onion and ginger paste and cook for 3-4 mins, add little water and stir for 2 mins, add 1/2 cup water and stir, add salt.
* Step 7
Add the fried Motorsuti and gently stir keeping in mind the Dhoka can break easily. Set aside
* Step 8
Plate and enjoy with steamed rice
