Malvani Chicken Hirva Masala

#NVM Malvani cuisine from the Konkan area is very unique in taste and flavour. This chicken is marinated with a masala of ginger-garlic, coconut, coriander leaves and chicken is marinated. Then cooked on low flame and at the end coconut milk is added.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash the chicken pieces, marinate with salt and keep it aside for 15 mins

In a blender add green chilies, grated coconut, coriander leaves, ginger-garlic, and water. Blend smooth.

Add the green paste to the chicken and marinate well. In a wok heat oil and add black cardamom, green cardamoms, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cumin seeds to the oil, add marinated chicken and stir for 5-6 mins on low flame

* Step 4

Add water and cover to cook until the chicken is done. Add garam masala powder, and salt and sprinkle chopped coriander leaves.

Serve with Tandulachi Bhakri
