Amla Rasam Soup

Ingredient

Food ration :

Preparation time-10 mins, Cooking time-30 mins
2-3 Tbsp

jaggery powder

2 Springs

curry leaves

1/2 tsp

cumin seeds

2 Tbsp

oil

to taste

Salt

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash the aamlas. Pressure cook for 1 whistle. Strain the Amlas and extract the seeds. Add the amlas to the blender

* Step 2

Blend smooth. In a pan heat oil and add hing, add mustard and cumin seeds, when it splutters, add crushed coriander seeds and crushed garlic. Stir for 1 min. Add red chilli powder. Stir well. Add Amla paste

* Step 3

Mix well. Add jaggery powder to tone down the tartness of the Amla. Add Rasam powder, salt. Stir well and add water to make a watery consistency. Boil for 5 mins.

* Step 4

When you reach your desired consistency, set aside

* Step 5

Enjoy hot Amla Rasam
