Dorayaki Cake

#week22
Dorayaki Cake originated in Japan with Azuki beans filling. I made eggless and added Chocolate Hazelnut as filling. The word Dora means a Japanese gong and the Azuki or Japanese red beans is always not readily available in my city. So instead of adding Kidney beans which is not even close to Azuki beans I added Chocolate Hazelnut

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a bowl add maida, powdered sugar, baking powder, condensed milk, honey and mix well.
* Step 2
Add milk slowly and mix. Don’t add altogether.
* Step 3
Add butter and mix well. The batter is ready
* Step 4
In a pan on low flame add a ladle of the batter. The trick is the pan should not be too hot and the cake would be brown in colour on both sides.
* Step 5
Cover and bubbles will be visible. Should take approx 2 mins.
* Step 6
Once browned, flip side and brown again. Set aside.
* Step 7
Spread Hazelnut chocolate or any chocolate spread of your choice. Press both cake slices together and divide them into two. Enjoy
