Chatpati Pudina Palak Chakli

Very crispy and full of flavours! Can be served with tea or juice . It does not get spoiled for long and be stored in an airtight jar and enjoyed. #boxweek10 #sangitakalra #spinach #Mint #gujarati

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Churn together mint,spinach and green chilli to a thick paste and add some salt.Now seive rice flour,besan and rest of the salt. Add butter, carom seeds, sesame seeds, amchoor powder and mix

* Step 2

Now add the spinach puree and mix nicely. Add lemon juice if you want more chatpata in your chakli and very little water to combine them together as a soft dough.

* Step 3

Now grease your chakli machine and use a star mould in the chakli to get it a beautiful chakli shape. Apply little oil on the dough and put half of the dough in the machine rest keep it covered. Now there are two ways to make chakli. Heat oil on the medium flame.First way is to make chakli on a butter paper, pick each carefully with the help of spatula or with your hand and put them in the frying kadai or the other way is to make each chakli on the ladle used for frying & slide in the kadai.

* Step 4

The first method I found a bit tricky as first making them and then picking each in hands and then slip them in the oil was making them break this was at times difficult to handle so second method of using the la ddle,I found it easier and it turned out very crispy and flavourful. The sesame seeds and carom seeds did wonders to my crispies!!
