Ingredient

1/4 cup

rice

1 teaspoon

ghee

1 teaspoon

Cardamom powder

1 tablespoon

chopped pistachio

1 tablespoon

chopped almonds

2 tablespoon

raisins

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Soak rice in 1 cup of water for 1 hour. Strain the water and grind the rice with 1/2 cup. Roast the almonds, cashews and raisins.

* Step 2

Boil the remaining 2.5 cups of milk. Once milk is boiled and slightly recudes, add the ground rice to the milk and keep stirring continuously. Add sugar, saffron strands, cardamom powder, ghee and half of the roasted dry nuts.

* Step 3

Serve the Phirni in serving bowls. Garnish with some dry nuts and saffron strands.
