💯 Split pea stew ( meatballs version ) with eggplant. I had never seen an Iranian who don't like gheyme, in my entire life. In Iran, cooking Take a lot of time but the outcome worth it! Ingredient

Food ration :

2 servings

Cooking time :

3 hours
1/2 cup

Split pea

3 slices

dried lemon

1 spoon

Tomato paste

300 gr

minced meat

8 spoons

Lamb fat oil

3 cups

Water

1 tsp

Salt

1/4 tsp

Saffron

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Boil split pea for 2 hours.

* Step 2

Make meatballs with minced meat and salt.

* Step 3

Grate onion, pan fry until turns golden.

* Step 4

Add spices and tomato paste, fry for a minute

* Step 5

Add meatballs and onion sauce into the split pea pot.

* Step 6

Boil for an hour.

* Step 7

Pan fry eggplants separately.

* Step 8

10 minutes before serving, add lemon slices and fried eggplants.

* Step 9

Cook rice separately.

* Step 10
