Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Fry rice lightly in a metal pot, and keep. Then fry moong bean until golden brown. When it cool, wash both and soak it in water. By the time keep the same pot in fire, pour 2 tbs ghee and fry nuts and dry grapes. Remove and keep. Now pour 4 cups of water, put 1/4 tsp salt and boil. Now add rice and moong bean. Let it boil and till the foam comes out. Now stir often until well cook. Reduce very low flame. Now add jaggery, cardamom powder, milk, 1/2 portion ghee,
* Step 2
Mix and cook until jaggery melt completely. Remove the pot and add fried nuts and saffron mix and remaining ghee. Mix well, and enjoy this pongal on this auspicious day. HAPPY PONGAL
