Roasted tomato marinara

Roasted tomato marinara

Rather than buy jars of marinara from the grocery i make it then freeze or store in a mason jar in the fridge.

Ingredient

2 lbs

tomatos

4 cloves

garlic

1 pkg

orgeano

4 tbsp

veg oil

1/2 c

water

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 425

* Step 2

Cut tomatos into large chunks then toss with veg oil and season with salt and pepper.

* Step 3

Use a light spray of Pam over baking sheet, trim oregano then spread out.

* Step 4

Spread tomaotos evenly over the oregano

* Step 5

Roast in oven for 20 minutes

Crush garlic

* Step 7

In saucepan on medium heat add tomatos, oregano, and garlic then simmer for 5 minutes

* Step 8

Add water, bring to boil then simmer covered for 25 minutes

* Step 9

Serve hot or let cool then store. If you want a smooth sauce use an emulsion blender.
