Chavali chi Usal(black eyed beans gravy)

This is a very famous maharashtrian dish mostly used in marriages. In many communities it is a must in the marriage menu.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Soak black-eyed beans for 2,3 hours. In the cooker give 2 whistles. Cook beans well. you can directly add it to the gravy but it takes time to cook. waste of time and fuel.chop potato, Onion, and tomato. In a mixer, jar adds grated coconut and cumin blend to paste.
* Step 2
Now in a deep pan add oil. Once hot add mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter, add chopped onions saute well, and add chopped tomato saute till mushy. Now add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder, and red chili powder.mix well, and add chopped potato, and cooked black-eyed beans.
* Step 3
Mix well. Now add garam masala, Salt, and coconut paste. add required water. Cook for 5 to 10 minutes on medium flame. Enjoy with chapati and rice.
* Step 4
It's a simple and typical Maharashtrian preparation. Maharashtrian Brahmins add little Jaggery to this curry. Both taste yum.do try this one 😋😋😋
