Ingredient

Food ration :

serves 4 servin

Cooking time :

45 minutes
2 teaspoons

chopped garlic

1 teaspoon

red chilly powder

1 teaspoon

garam masala

2 tbspn

oil

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Cook tur dal in a pressure cooker. Heat deep pan Add oil once hot add mustard seeds, chopped garlic, chilies, saute, add onion, tomatoes, saute till mushy.

* Step 2

Add curry leaves and coriander leaves saute till aromatic, add turmeric powder, asafoetida, cumin powder, saute add cooked dal. Cook for 5 minutes. Add red chilly powder, garam masala, salt.

* Step 3

Cook for five more minutes. Serve hot with jeera rice or steam rice.
