Toddler-size Zucchini Fries

My 1 year old has been learning to hold and bite pieces off of various foods recently. He really enjoyed biting into a few of my French fries the other day, and he loves sautéed zucchini so I thought why not make him some zucchini fries in a size more suited to his little hands and mouth. Of course, anyone can eat these, they are just smaller pieces than your standard zucchini fry (and therefore even take less time to bake!). I made this using 1 small zucchini, but you can use whatever size, or how many, you wish. Just adjust other ingredients accordingly.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment the paper. Mix parmesan/romano blend, garlic powder, and basil in a small bowl. Set aside.

* Step 2

Wash zucchini. Cut into thirds across. Cut each third in half lengthwise. Cut each half into 3 to 4 pieces lengthwise to make wedges.

* Step 3

Place zucchini in a medium bowl. Drizzle with oil/butter and gently toss to coat. Sprinkle with seasoning mix. Gently toss to coat again.

* Step 4

Arrange in a single layer on baking sheet. Bake until fork tender, turning halfway through. About 10 minutes.

* Step 5

Let cool to room temp before feeding to little ones. Enjoy!
