Apple & Walnut 'Deluxe' Bircher

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Before going to bed, mix together the oats, evaporated milk and cinnamon in a bowl or small jug. Cover and refrigerate.

* Step 2

Next morning, grate the apple into a small bowl and mix it with the walnuts and maple syrup. Set aside.

* Step 3

Take the oats out of the fridge, uncover and stir.

* Step 4

Top the oats with a good dollop of thick yogurt. (There is none in my photo because I used an entirely unsuitable receptacle and so had to add it after I'd eaten some of it, but it was delicious with and without)

* Step 5

Lastly, put the apple, walnut, maple syrup mixture over the top and serve.
