Tempeh Teriyaki

I wanted to make chicken teriyaki, but I only had tempeh left in the fridge. My partner likes sweet and savory dish, so I added a bit of sweet soy sauce.

Ingredient

Cooking time :

2 tbsp

soy sauce *

1 tbsp

mirin *

1 tbsp

sugar *

1 tbsp

water *

1 pinch

salt *

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Fry the tempeh until half-cooked in a pan, using medium heat.

* Step 2

Discard the oil but not the tempeh. Mix all * ingredients. Pour * into the tempeh. Using low heat, cook until the fluid thickens. Flip the tempeh pieces occasionally.

* Step 3

When the fluid is reduced and the tempeh becomes a bit brown and black, it's done. Enjoy as snack or eat it with steamed rice.
