Chinese sugar cane and imperatae drink 竹蔗茅根水
ok my 100th recipe and it's for people who has heaps of pimples, white tongue and with a bad temper 😂 please note do not drink this during woman's monthly cycle or if you are pregnant. As for people with cold hands and feet even during summer, please do not drink more than a cup.

* Step 2
Clean all ingredients and chop those sugar canes in halves or quarters which I'm lazy so it's gonna be in halves. As for water chestnuts you can peel all the skin out or just the ends. I will peel if I'm gonna eat those water chestnuts if not and lazy you can just cut those ends.... Make sure those mud are cleaned out from those water chestnuts.
* Step 3
In a big pot (mine can hold like 4-5L water) Throw all ingredients in except the rock sugar and high heat to a boil, then switch to mid high heat for 2 hours. Beware of over boiling.
* Step 4
After 2 hrs taste test if you would like to add Abit of sweetness put 1-2 cubes of rock sugar boil for another 10 mins then switch the heat off and cover the pot for an hour.
* Step 5
You can serve it hot or after cool down can place the leftovers in fridge and serve as a cold drink as well (best to finish it within 3 days) Enjoy!
