Tofu Caprese

Is this Italian or Japanese?! Well fusion :) You can still enjoy Caprese without dairy.

Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Remove water from tofu as much as possible and slice when ready. (You can wrap tofu with kitchen papers and let it sit for an hour. Add weight if necessary.)

* Step 2

Slice tomato.

* Step 3

Place sliced tofu and tomato alternately on a plate.

* Step 4

Spray olive oil over and add salt & pepper.

* Step 5

Break basil leaves with fingers and sprinkle over.

* Step 6

FYI - I used this extra firm tofu from Trader’s Joe.

FYI - olive oil spray is just for convenience. Of course regular olive oil is as good!
