Sweet Amla Chutney
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash the amlas well. Steam them in a steamer or rice cooker until soft ie. about 15-20 minutes. Once the amlas are cooked, they break open. Allow them to cool down completely. Break the amlas and take out the seeds and set it aside.
* Step 2
Keep all the ingredients ready.
* Step 4
Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add asafoetida, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and nigella seeds and mix well and roast lightly. Next add turmeric powder, kashmiri red chilli powder, black pepper powder and garam masala powder.
* Step 5
Mix it well. Now add the Amla pieces and mix it well.
* Step 6
Add the jaggery powder. Mix well and cook until jaggery melts.
* Step 7
Mash the amla pieces lightly so that it absorbs the jaggery and masala. Now add black salt and white salt.
* Step 8
Mix well and cook for two to three minutes. Off the flame and allow it to cool down completely.
* Step 9
Super Tasty Sweet Amla Chutney is ready. Enjoy it with Methi Paratha.
