Moong Dal Fritters
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Wash and soak the moong dal in water. Drain the water completely from the moong dal.
* Step 2
Add the dal to a blender and grind coarsely, by sprinkling very little water, only if needed. Transfer the batter to a mixing bowl.
* Step 3
Add grated potato and mix well.
* Step 4
Add finely chopped ginger and green chillies.
* Step 6
Add cumin powder, asafoetida and salt and mix well. The batter should not be watery or too thick.
* Step 7
Heat oil in a frying pan. Once the oil is hot, drop spoonful of the batter gently in the hot oil. Fry few at a time. Fry until the fritters are golden brown all around.
* Step 8
Drain it in kitchen towel to absorb the excess oil.
* Step 9
Moong Dal Fritters are ready. Serve it hot with tomato ketchup or any sauce or chutney of your choice.
