Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Crush the oats till they are coarse.
* Step 4
Next add curd/yogurt and give it a good mix. Add water and make a paste, the consistency of a thick batter.
* Step 5
Crush garlic and green chillies and add it to the batter.
* Step 6
Next crush onion and carrot and add it to the batter.
* Step 7
Crush the green bell pepper and add it to the batter.
* Step 8
Add turmeric powder and mix well.
* Step 9
Add ajwain seeds and coriander leaves and mix well. Set this mixture aside for about 20 minutes. Once the oats and semolina soak up the water, your chillas are ready to be made.
* Step 10
Heat a non stick pan and brush the pan with oil. Ladle the batter on the pan and spread it in circles. You can even make small holes in between your chilla and add some oil/butter for a crispier chilla. Roast the chilla till it is nice and golden and then turn it to the other side.
* Step 11
Once the chilla is cooked on both sides, take it off the pan and serve it hot with some red chilli garlic sauce or any sauce or chutney of your choice.
