Cooking instructions

* Step 1

Wash the peppers. Remove the seeds and cut into small chunks and set aside.

* Step 2

Heat oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds and allow it to crackle. Add asafoetida. Add the pepper chunks and cover with a plate with water on the top. Cook till the water dries out. Add salt.

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and kashmiri chilli powder and give it a good mix. Again cover with a plate with little water on top so that the masala cooks and blends with the peppers. Off the flame.

* Step 4

Serve Green Bell Pepper Bhaji with roti, rice and dal or curd curry and papad.
