Grilled Tandoori Chicken

Grilled Tandoori Chicken with french fries, green chutney, onions and lemons.
Tandoori chicken is a world popular chicken starter originated from the Mughlai cuisine. Soft, juicy, flavorful and delicious that stole the hearts of many across the globe. It is marinated with yogurt and spices and then grilled on an electric griller or in an oven or on stove top.
Cooking instructions
* Step 1
In a large mixing bowl, add thick yogurt or hung curd, ginger and garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, turmeric powder, kasuri methi, pepper powder and coriander powder. Pour oil and lemon juice. Mix well. The marinade has to be thick.
* Step 2
Make deep gashes over the chicken and add it to the bowl. Marinate the chicken well into the gashes. Cover and set aside for 6 hours.
* Step 3
Lightly grease an electric griller. Preheat it. Place the marinated chicken on it and grill for atleast 15 minutes.
* Step 4
Mix together 1 tsp red chilli powder with 1 tbsp oil. Then baste the red chilli oil over the chicken. Grill for 5 minutes. You can also baste the left over marinade over the chicken. Grill for few more minutes, if necessary. Serve with onion and lemon wedges.
