Masala Chaas or Spiced Buttermilk is a popular Indian summer drink made with plain thick yogurt,spices and herbs .This mildly spiced and tangy Indian beverage is mostly served as a refreshing drink during the hot summer season for its ability to cool down the body temperature and ideal after a spicy lunch or dinner.Serve Masala Chaas chilled garnished with roasted cumin powder,pinch of red chilli powder and coriander or mint leaves.

Cooking instructions
* Step 1
Add 1 cup plain chilled homemade thick yogurt in a blender jar.Next add a paste of chopped coriander,green chilli and ginger, roasted cumin powder,black salt,chaat masala and pinch of salt if needed. Add few ice cubes and chilled water and blend for 2 to 3 minutes till all ingredients are well combined and the chaas is frothy.
* Step 2
Pour the chaas in serving glasses and garnish with roasted cumin powder,pinch of red chilli powder and fresh coriander or mint leaves and serve chilled.
