Crispy Baby Corn Fritters

Though not so sweet as the matured ones, the main attraction of this tender vegetable is its crunchiness.There are various ways of preparing this vegetable.One such delicious recipe is Crispy Baby Corn Fritters and popular all over the world . They are easy to make and requires few ingredients only. It is a perfect after school snack for kids and also served as an evening snack or appetizer at parties.

* Step 1

Cut baby corns into half.If they are not so tender, they should be blanched for 3-4 minutes.Else,smear little salt and set them aside.Mix chilli flakes,black pepper powder,ginger garlic paste,salt to taste, cornflour,all-purpose flour and baking powder.Sift all and mix.Make a semi thick batter by adding water and beat well till light and fluffy.Dip baby corns in this batter and double coat with breadcrumbs. Refrigerate for an hour.

Heat oil in a pan and fry till crispy. Serve with hot and sweet tomato sauce to kids as an after school snack or as a teatime snack or an appetizer at parties.
